R&D across the full machine-intelligence stack
From silicon to security to sustainability — six research threads that feed directly into what we build.
Hardware Design
Our hardware research spans SoC design, 4G/5G communication modules, GNSS modules, Edge-AI-enabled IoT hardware and gateways — always aimed at designs that are better optimised, more secure, and the right fit for the problem, rather than the most generic one.
Intelligent Machines
At a systems level, we research what it takes to build a true intelligent-machines ecosystem — hardware and firmware, distributed intelligence, deep-learning and graph deep-learning models, efficient knowledge transfer between machines, AI security, and the resilience and fail-safes that keep it all dependable.
Optimisation
Optimisation is where sustainability and ROI actually get won. We look across hardware design, communication protocols, connectivity and network usage, and compute/storage footprint — with a focus on minimal-footprint learning and evolving mini and micro models that do more with less.
Edge & Cloud Security
Edge security and cloud security aren't separate problems — they're two halves of one strategy. Our research focuses on the handoff between them, so the environment stays secure end to end, from the device generating the data to the cloud that stores and processes it.
IoT & Blockchain
IoT and blockchain intersect more often than people expect — combined well, they improve the security, traceability and efficiency of an IoT deployment. Our research spans sensor technologies, edge computing, smart contracts, decentralised applications, traceability and security.
Automation
Automation keeps evolving alongside AI, machine learning and IoT, and the organisations that adopt it well gain a real edge — leaner processes, lower operating cost. Our research here focuses on generalising hardware and platforms so development and production get faster and more efficient across every project.
